Warranty and returns
Overview
Each work is described with care and in good faith, based on our examination and any information available to us at the time of listing. Given the nature of artworks and objects—often unique, sometimes with age-related characteristics—minor variations in tone, surface, or condition should be expected and do not constitute a fault.
Condition and authenticity
Condition is stated to the best of our knowledge and may include natural signs of age, handling, or prior conservation. Where supporting documentation is available (such as certificates, invoices, or provenance material), it is shared upon request. Any attributions are expressed cautiously and reflect the information we can responsibly provide.
Warranty
Unless explicitly stated in writing, we do not offer a commercial warranty. This does not affect statutory rights that may apply under the laws of the purchaser’s country of residence.
Returns
Because many works are unique and require specialist packing and handling, returns are accepted only by prior written agreement. If a return is authorised, the work must be returned in the same condition as supplied, with all accompanying materials, and using the same standard of professional packing.
Return process
If you believe there is an issue upon receipt, please notify us promptly and retain all packaging. We will advise the appropriate next steps, including condition verification and return arrangements where applicable.
Exclusions
We cannot accept returns for:
Change of mind after purchase (unless otherwise agreed in writing)
Natural variations, patina, or age-related characteristics consistent with the description
Damage arising from handling, installation, or storage after delivery
Damage resulting from unauthorised packing or return shipment
