Delivery times vary according to destination, transport method, and any regulatory procedures required for dispatch. We confirm an estimated dispatch date and transit window with you before shipment.

Taxes, duties and import charges
International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import taxes (including VAT), and other charges imposed by local authorities in the destination country. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these charges are not included in the purchase price and remain the responsibility of the recipient.
We recommend that clients familiarise themselves with local requirements prior to purchase.

We assist with the preparation of necessary paperwork. Processing times are determined by the relevant authorities and may affect dispatch and delivery schedules.

Shipments are insured according to the declared value of the item. Risk of loss or damage during transit is governed by the terms and handling procedures of our shipping partner.

For international placements, we work with experienced partners on documentation and routing, and we keep the process clear and discreet from enquiry to receipt.
Shipping origin and destination
Due to regulatory, logistical and legal constraints, shipping may not be available to certain regions or countries. Availability is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Heartwood Violins reserves the right to decline shipment where compliance or secure transport cannot be ensured.
Packaging and transport
We take packaging seriously and coordinate professional art packing for every work we place. Materials and methods are selected to suit the medium, scale, and condition, with the aim of minimizing movement, pressure, and surface contact throughout transit.
